Pixies join issue 04 to celebrate 30 years of Trompe Le Monde.

It was a Saturday, we had a weekend off so me and Joey did a road trip up Route 1, listening to The Eagles. We had such a good time. We got there about 10 o’clock in the evening; it was about 11 hours on the road. We went to this bar in San Francisco, me and Joey, absolutely shattered, sat down for a pint, and a big fight broke out right behind us!

In 1991 Pixies recorded what was to be their last studio album for more than 20 years: Trompe Le Monde. To celebrate the 30th anniversary, Black Francis, David Lovering and Joey Santiago revisit the production of an album that continues to divide critics and fans equally.

Our 35-page retrospective also features contributions from Eric Drew Feldman (Keyboards), Steve Haigler (Engineer) and über-producer Gil Norton - affectionately referred to as the fifth member of Pixies.

A selection of rarely seen images accompany this extensive feature including never-before-seen photography by original album collaborator Simon Larbalestier.

Pre-order issue 04 from 10th December.
